We’re proud to share the release of Tikva Housing’s 2023–2024 Impact Report—a snapshot of the progress we’ve made, the lives we’ve touched, and the path we’re paving toward a future where everyone in our community has a stable and affordable place to call home.
This year’s report is more than just a collection of numbers and updates—it’s a story of resilience, growth, and community. It’s about what happens after the keys are handed over: families putting down roots, seniors finding stability, and individuals rediscovering hope.
2023–2024 Highlights include:
- 374 people housed across our growing portfolio—260 adults and 114 children—thanks to continued donor support.
- 168 affordable housing units now under Tikva’s umbrella, up from just 29 only seven years ago.
- 24 households received rent relief, providing crucial support during temporary financial crises.
- Seven developments now operating or under partnership in Metro Vancouver, with property management taken in-house for two additional properties
- Our Jewish Housing Registry grew to 398 registrants representing over 500 individuals still in need of affordable housing.
- A rebranding initiative to reflect our ambitious plans to make an even greater impact on the lives of those we serve.
- A Board Chair leadership transition, with Rhonda Sacks concluding her impactful term and new Co-Chairs Penny Gurstein and Andrew Charney stepping into their roles.
We’re deeply grateful for our donors, partners, and volunteers who help make this impact possible. As we look ahead, we remain committed to turning hope into home for more members of our community.
